I logged in today looking foward to another day of trying to teach grown adults how to use there own computer...and color in the lines. People are really dumb and yet very touchy about it at the same time. I would rather have a women call in and say right off the bat, "I'm not very good at this so take your time and go slow with me. Maybe I will even learn a few things!" than a man that calls in and says he knows what the issue is and wants it fixed asap. Then he mumbles and talks down to me and then when I prove he has no clue to what the fuck he is talking about he gets all pissed off like that was my goal. Well, not my main goal at least.
Example:
TCG >> Thank you for calling Comcast. This is TCG. How can I help you today?
Cust >> My modem is having issues.
Understandable statement
TCG >> Oh, thats not good. Lets login here and take a look at this.
1 minute passes.
TCG >> Well it seems that your modem is online, with great signals, service, and honestly has not even been reset in 21.76 days sir. What was you modem doing for you to have to call in and say it is having issues?
Cust >> It is resetting my computer every 5 minutes.
...
Cust >> Everytime it gets fully booted up my computer restarts itself and it will not stop doing it. Your modem is resetting my computer!
TCG >> Sir, our modem is completely seperate from your computer and has nothing to do with it or it settings. Sir, you never even had to download anything from us onto you computer to run our service. We are a plug and play product.
Cust >> Don't give me the its not us, its your computer line! I know what the hell is happening here. Your modem is restarting my computer.
TCG >> Sir, again....your computer and the Comcast modem are 2 seperate products and do not rely on each other for anything. It fact, your modem could be on fire and it would not reset you computer.
Cust >> Thats fucking bullshit!
TCG >> why don't you unhook your modem and test it then?
Cust >> Then I will not have the internet!
TCG >> as oppossed to right now?
Cust >> Well I can not reach it and I shouldn't have to go through all this hassle. You need to send a tech out here right now!
TCG >> We can not send a tech for a issue that is not Comcast related sir.
Cust >> But it is fucking resett...
TCG >> ON FIRE!!!!!!
